DONATION REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Effective Date: October 6, 2026
Last Updated: October 6, 2026

God’s Foundation (“God’s Foundation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to responsible stewardship of charitable contributions made in support of our mission and programs, including Janaki Home of Hope.

This Donation Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how we handle charitable contributions made through our website, fundraising campaigns, events, and other authorized donation channels.

1. Charitable Donations Are Generally Non-Refundable

Charitable contributions are generally voluntary gifts and are not purchases of goods or services.

Accordingly, donations are generally non-refundable once submitted and processed.

This policy is consistent with the nature of charitable giving and is intended to allow God’s Foundation to responsibly plan and deploy charitable resources.

2. When We May Issue a Refund

Although donations are generally non-refundable, we may, at our sole discretion and where appropriate, consider a refund or correction when:

  • A donation was made in error;

  • A donor was charged an incorrect amount;

  • A duplicate transaction occurred;

  • An unauthorized transaction is reported;

  • A recurring donation continued after a timely cancellation request;

  • A technical or processing error resulted in an incorrect charge; or

  • A refund is otherwise required by applicable law.

Requests will be reviewed individually.

3. Incorrect or Duplicate Donations

If you believe you accidentally entered an incorrect donation amount or that your payment was processed more than once, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide:

  • Your name

  • Date of the transaction

  • Donation amount

  • Email address used for the transaction

  • Transaction or confirmation number, if available

  • A description of the issue

For your security, do not send complete credit-card numbers, bank-account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive financial information by email.

4. Unauthorized Transactions

If you believe a donation was made without your authorization, please contact us promptly.

We may request sufficient information to verify the transaction and determine the appropriate resolution.

You should also promptly contact your financial institution or payment-card issuer if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Recurring Donations

If you establish a recurring donation, you authorize the applicable payment processor to charge the payment method according to the frequency and amount you selected.

You may request cancellation of future recurring donations at any time.

Cancellation of a recurring donation will generally prevent future charges but does not automatically result in a refund of donations that have already been processed.

Where a recurring donation is canceled before a scheduled future charge, we will make reasonable efforts to prevent the future charge.

Where recurring donations are offered through a third-party platform, you may also be able to manage or cancel the recurring donation directly through that platform.

6. Donation Designations

A donor may sometimes be invited to designate a contribution for a particular program, initiative, or purpose.

God’s Foundation will make reasonable efforts to honor a donor's stated designation consistent with applicable law and the organization's charitable purposes.

If circumstances change such that a designated gift cannot reasonably be used for the stated purpose, God’s Foundation may use the contribution for a substantially similar charitable purpose, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

A designation does not create a private contractual entitlement to a particular project, individual, location, construction feature, or outcome.

7. Fundraising Campaigns

Descriptions of fundraising campaigns, construction projects, program goals, budgets, photographs, projected dates, and anticipated outcomes are provided in good faith and may change as circumstances develop.

Construction costs, land availability, regulatory requirements, exchange rates, partner arrangements, program needs, donor restrictions, and other circumstances may affect how and when charitable funds are used.

God’s Foundation reserves the right to redirect unrestricted contributions to other charitable purposes consistent with its mission when necessary or appropriate.

8. Payment Processing Fees

Certain payment processors or fundraising platforms may deduct processing or platform fees from donations.

Where applicable, information concerning such fees may be disclosed during the donation process or through the applicable third-party platform.

9. Tax-Deductibility

God’s Foundation does not provide individual tax, legal, or financial advice.

Donors are responsible for determining the tax consequences of their contributions.

For qualifying charitable contributions, God’s Foundation may provide a donation acknowledgment or receipt containing information required by applicable law.

Federal tax law contains specific substantiation and disclosure requirements, including written acknowledgment requirements for contributions of $250 or more and disclosure requirements for certain quid pro quo contributions exceeding $75.

10. How to Request a Refund or Correction

Requests should be submitted to:

God’s Foundation
Email: contact@janakihomeofhope.org
Mailing Address: PO Box 783, San Jose, CA 95106

Please include “Donation Refund Request” in the subject line.

We will review the request and respond within a reasonable period.

11. Third-Party Donation Platforms

If you donate through a third-party fundraising platform, payment processor, crowdfunding platform, social-media platform, or other intermediary, that transaction may also be governed by the platform's own terms, refund policies, privacy policy, and procedures.

Where the third party is the entity that processed the transaction, you may need to submit a refund or transaction dispute directly to that platform.

California specifically recognizes that charitable fundraising platforms can play a role in receiving, processing, and distributing charitable donations and imposes separate regulatory requirements on qualifying platforms.

12. Policy Changes

God’s Foundation may update this policy from time to time.

The version posted on our website will contain the current effective date.
